I would use the engine speed sensor on the flywheel, given what Apexi have told you. The wires terminate at the ECU on pins 3 and 16. This is all in the Haynes manual you have. Don't know if it will work of course.

What is this transducer you have bought and where/how is it fitted?

This transducer is a great piece of kit Lewey, I found a very helpful company online at www.sailesmarketing.com

The transducer is a direct replacment that fits to the end of the speedo cable where it goes into the gearbox, from there it creates a VSS signal which I can use for the AVC-R without loosing the speedometer...

I have been recommended that 66H will be the correct transducer for the job, I just have to confirm its the correct one. if you go to the downloads section from www.sailesmarketing.com

at the bottom of the page is transducer catalogue... I've had a look on the gearbox, it does look very simoular but I'm not 100% certain. Did you wanna take a look?

Going back to the engine speed sensor, as long as its a negative signal thats outputing around 0-8 volts that varies with the RPM, i guess either pin would work? :idea:
