How 2 fit Rear Arm Rests!_____

Wow, that's great. You gonna post a procedure for it now please? ;-)

I'd like to know where to source a pair from actually...
Only for 3 door. LOL.

Hear goes...

Sauce from Uno Turbo, Uno Turbo look a like or maybe off a 3 door SX trimmed Uno– I never seen one TBH.

Mine were ready extracted, but I’d imagine removal is be the reverse of fitting lol.

Tools
8mm socket, X drive (Phillips) screwdriver and a keen eye for rust lol.

01_Rear_New_Trim_wet pick is just after I washed the rust and dirt off both sides of each trim.

Remove parcel shelf
Remove rear seat(s) “lock” plastic caps (leavers located behind top corners of back seat)
Remove rear speakers mounts (bit between parcel shelf and windows) that’s 4 gold (ish) 8MM bolts – 1 is behind lamps – AND 1 black (bigger) bolt on rounded bit. You will also need to release seat back to get it off.

Remove the “kick” trim that covers the front seatbelt housing (middle right on https://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=3279&sort=8&cat=607&page=1) that’s 1 X (Phillips) screw that faces backwards (stubby drive needed) then will rotate upwards to free (on 2 plastic hooks that point down wards and tucked under sill trim).

Fold rear seat (s) fully forward.

You should be able to see all round the rear trim now.

Prize trim gently downwards and forwards from top rear corner - the rear lower clip may need encouraging to pop off. Do it last.

Check drain holes and at bottom of iner arch now exposed – treat any rust you discover lol – I need a bit / lot of welding of O/S welding – can see day ight – dam!

Check the new trim has a plastic clip at each mountain point. edit Nick off old trim if any are cracked or missing.

Tuck the top line of the trim under the rear window rubber – this takes a little encouragement don’t use fairy liquid to slip it as it contains salt (rust catalyst!) shift the front seat belt out of the way, hold trim under rubber at about 30 - 45 degree angle from where it should go, and about 2Cm further back.

slip it forwards and tuck the trim’s forward most vertical line behind the stationary door rubber Edit See 08_Still_Needs_Work link ;) (mine don’t fit – yet)

When it’s tucked under the rubbers, line up the trim’s lower front clip. When it looks square lightly thump each clip into place.

Replace rear speaker mounts, seat lock caps, front seat belt kick cover and parcel shelf.

Enjoy. - phew!
add pictures for us lol.

Thanks very much! How do I rate you good? :)

Thinking about it - Do you guys think there will be any DVLA or insurance issues if I remove the rear seats and trim etc. to make it a 2-seater. The weight reduction will surely have a significant difference somewhere?

I'm seriously thinking about it 'cos your guide above makes it all sound easy as lego!, and especially as the estate is no longer with us anymore.

 Check out My Thinking of modding your Uno? Thread. re Insurance - life in it still!

I’d lose weight by fitting a Mk1 Turbo tail gate. They are Fiber – never rust and have Spoiler as standard – but you need loads of other bits and bobs (on another thread if you search)– and the hinges need moving according to form. I’ve got one to fit soon. Forget the seats for now. They aren’t heavy!

:bang: After I fitted trim cards yesterday, I noticed my driver's turbo seat has a broken plastic runner wheel. Ist well riveted on – Safety future of seat – new driver seat time (again). Good job I have some in Kent – Sorry to disappoint you Luke :bang: :bang: :bang: (n)

I ended up removing and stripping down seat to find the Louver and backrest springs hanging off.

Looks like it’s been in a serious crash or someone's bodged the removal of head restraints! - That’s another story - maybe Ill post another thread on buying / stripping Uno front seats – or answer a new thread lol.

Any ways, I (think) I got some  better photos - no driver seat in way LOL. Ill edit this post when I’ve uploaded.

Regards All,

Edit - 3 Picks added to My gallery ;) LOL!
