btw the rims are 14" for those of you who were wondering. Their name is Fondmental covered in Marangoni Vantos 185/55 R14...now its got go-cart like handling...pity about the soft suspension!

Hey it looks good!
You say you have sprayed the mirrors (they look good!) - i presume they were plastic before - how did you prep them?
Also, as you've done the mirrors, I suggest that you do the bumpers next - they would look really good on that car!
Keep up the good work!

I like it. :D It looks so subtle and smart. Very nice and tidy example . Perhaps as dunc says uno turbo arches and skirts and maybe a sports exhaust? Or some smoothing on the tailgate? Just a few ideas but i like it how it is at the mo anyway.

Wheels look great (y) Colour code the bumpers and fit the turbo trims (as been mentioned) and it'll look  Its an unusual colour, but the clear indicators and silver rims really bring it to life :)

Thinking of getting some BK racing BK238's for mine in the near future (funds permitting). Gonna keep em silver rather than spray em black so i can use em again for my uno T (might be getting that sooner than planned too, my current uno seems to be nearer to the graveyard than i'd wish for  ).

Hey, after all the 'Chav' talk in a previous thread it's really nice to see some great looking Uno's turn up on the board.

Drinu, your Uno looks really smart. As it's so clean I wouldn't do too much more appearancewise. Yours is a good example of how the Uno has great lines to begin with and doesn't need an excess of exterior re-styling.

I also agree with Dunc and Frosty. Turbo arches and sideskirts would look good. And also as Luke said, colour code the bumpers, though personally I would just paint the lower part to give a two tone effect.

One other suggestion would be to paint the upper door vertical edges satin black like on the Turbo. This will make the glass area blend in along the whole car. Never seen it done on a five door, and I reckon it would look really good.

By the way, what is the official Fiat colour of you Uno Drinu? It's an unusual colour, almost turquoise? Looks great on a Uno :)

well first of all thanks for the positive comments guys!! I am really proud with the results I have obtained! I was aiming for some subtle styling and nothing too over the top. Im not too fond of Turbo trim as somehow it makes the car look higher! Its like since the trim is black its like it is the gap between the wheel and the wheel arch.

What I would like to do is to lower as that would really smarten it up but I still dont know how I am goin to do this.

Everyone has been telling me to paint the lower part of the bumpers but I am afraid of doing this! Problem is that with painted bumpers the rims will seem smaller and I will lose the overall effect of what I have. I think that the black and body colour together with clear lenses goes quite nicely. Also, for practicality reasons (this is my everyday car) black I think is better.

What I am also looking forward to do is to fit the front fog lights. All I need to buy are the fog lights, the holders for the fogs in the bumper and the relay. I can use the switch of the rear fog lights to work them as it is currently not working. I wired up the rear fogs to the brake lights so now I have 4 brakes lights + spoiler brake light. I removed the reflector so they shine as bright as the usual brake lights.

Car comes with SPAL electric windows and central locking. Central locking can be activated via remote through the alarm!:)

To Markoibook: To spray mirrors you have to first clean them from dirt. Give them a light sanding. Spray 3 coats of whats called plastic primer...3 coats of paint and 2 coats of lacquer. Lacquer should be sprayed 30 min after the last coat of paint.

1986Uno45s: I thought of spraying those parts black (between windows) but I think I will do it when I get tinted glass. Was goin to fit some light smoked tinted film to the glass. I wont be doin that for now as at the moment its illegal here in Malta. Apparently there is no law about tinted glass, so the authorities have decided to make it illegal since they have not thought of any laws!! This is really sad!:(

Regarding the colour its one of the latest Fiat Uno colours. My car was built in South Africa but is just the same as any of yours! The colour doesnt even come with a number. The colour is Peacock Metallic.

Regarding exhaust I dont think I will doin one for the moment. I will fit a nice fish tail and I think I will settle for that. An induction kit would be nice though with a little strut bar but for now funds are limited due to studies.

Thanks for the comments guys:D

Just for those of you who were wondering how the car looked before. Well the pic below shows how it was the day after I got it!!

hmmm now you're making me think...still not too fond about the grill...

Could you do just the bottom half of the bumper in colour and leave the rest black please with the normal grill??

Thanks

hehhehe that's more like it!! I'll think about it and see what I will do. I will have to put in some fogs for sure though before I spray the bumpers as well!!
I really like it! Looks cool!
