Hi everyone!

My little Uno 1100 has developed a bit of a strange noise when the engine is started from cold. There is a very distinct squeak that comes from the bell housing. The strange thing is that it only happens when the clutch is not pressed, the noise goes away when the peddle is pressed, (even a just a little bit), so to my way of thinking it's not the thrust bearing as that only makes contact with the clutch pressure plate when the peddle is pressed. The rest of the time it should be doing nothing.

Once the engine has warmed up the noise goes away but it's very annoying when the car is cold! I'm thinking of pulling the gearbox out to see what's going on but don't really want to if there's some simple way to sort this out. The clutch itself is fine, no slipping and the peddle is smooth.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions! (y)
