I have a storage container filled with clutches at my disposal, although they are getting rather soiled and should go in the bin.

anyway i have to do a clutch on one of the unos i picked up.

out of the 23 fiat clutches, no seem to be right for the hydralic clutch box. will add some pics of the clutch plate, the bearing had managed to spin right through the fingers if that makes sense. no suprising the clutc wasn't releasing.

so guys where can i get a cheap clutch?

Oh what a fun day!
Another clutch turned up today.
still the wrong one, about 10mm smaller. but with right bearing.

So i've decided to get back going asap to swap the flywheel for a Carbed fire one.
Bolts lined up ok, bit of a bugger to line up by eye.
and OMG are these gearboxes heavy. no working trolley jack atm so no choce but to lift and line up in one go.
So far half way through reassemble but i hope it will work ok, time will tell!

sure you already know, but try the new driven plate on the gearbox's input shaft BEFORE fitting!!! with gearbox on floor you'll varify that the new style box and old style clutch plate have a chance.

If it don't fit, you'll never get the box back on with it all in place

know what you mean about a heavy box :bang:

All in back together and working. i really dont know why fiat changed clutch diameter by 10mm, seems little bit silly to me.
i still have more fun to follow with uno clutches when i finally sort out L3UNO still at least in theory have a flywheel to take down the motor factors to ensure i get the right one.

this assumes its gearbox doesn't get any worse. sycro gone on 2nd and 3rd

or if it does i dont accidently but a cheap punto to yeild its engine and box, although doing this will mean i have to buy my fairer half another car as i doubt insurance co will love me for it.
