Hi my name is Liam and im new to the forum.
Im not new to fiat's as i have had my Uno turbo for some years now. My uno has been in storage for the past four years, she went into storage because i bought an Audi s2 but recently the Audi had to go to part fund a pickup for work. I now want to build the Uno up to be a road legal hillclimb car for weekend fun and the odd hillclimb.

Im looking for a new thermostat for her (Fiat say they cant get them and that they dont make them anymore).
Also the pipe from the air flow meter to the turbo is cracked and need replacing. Do Samco or alike make something for this position?

She is a 1372 eng on a K plate in a mk1 shell.

Thanks
Liam

Re: Hello! and what therostat?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

In answer to your question regarding the turbo thermostat, as you have found out it is now a discontinued part from Fiat. Some motor factors list one for the turbo but recent experience have shown them to be the non turbo 70 unit. However, the 70 model thermostat can be made to fit once the restrictor plate is removed and the casting for the sender drilled and tapped to take the turbo sender. Details of how to do this can be found here:

Regarding the airflow meter to turbo pipe, I'm not sure but I assume that yes, you should be able to get them from places like Samco and other after market pipe suppliers. You can also check out places like Ebay and other websites specialising in Uno Turbos. Hopefully one of the turbo members on here might be able to offer advice too.

Good luck :)
