Got some 195/45 R15 tyres in good nick off a set of 100pcd alloys I bought cheaply
[keeping the rubber, selling the alloy]

Got to thinking . . .
What FIATs use steel wheels as standard that this tyre could fit?
From a Tyre Calculator website it would need to be a 6.5J to 8J by 15 rim

Might look a BiT different on the Uno . . . .

Yep, perfect size for the Uno once you have 15" alloys - Punto Sporting alloys, for example.

Check what size Multipla wheels are... but otherwise, I think most standard FIAT steel wheels are 14".

Otherwise, you could go down the wobbly-bolt route, there are plenty of people out there using them, and if the hub centering ring is correct, I suppose there's no reason why not. If the hub centering is incorrect, then no way Jose...

Multipla rims are 6x15 & are ET31.5 & usually wear 185/65 15 rubber, I know because I was considering putting them on my Uno with chrome trim rings & chrome 70`s centre caps & checked my neighbours one!

The Alfasud Sprint Speedline rims on mine, 5.1/2x14 with 185/60x14`s, ET 39, fit almost perfectly, so you`d need some spacers too.

15" alloys are cheap enough, any reason for steelies?
Painted steelies with chrome trim rings suit the RaT-LooK better

Guy I bought the alloys off had them on woble bolts on a Panda.
But personally I don't want to touch wobble bolts

Just the job ;)
So I just need to find a Multipla in a scrappies . . . . [might not be that easy]..:(

Must be getting hard to find chrome trim rings. I remember wanting to buy a set for my mk1 Cavalier years ago and they weren't cheap new even back then. Something like £25 - £30 for four. This was 1988 by the way! I ended up finding some in a scrapyard, but the days of finding chrome trim rings in scrappies are long gone. It's like looking for the proverbial Rocking Horse poop!

You can get the off ebay for about £20 a set inc P&P Chas, I got some for my mates retro look new shape Beetles 16" steels

I had the mother of all jobs trying to get a set of 14`s for my VX2300 GLS about 15 years ago too!

Completely unrelated i know but i thought id ask!! im trying to find what size tyres to put on my Lancia Delta 14 inch alloys
There going on my mk 1 Uno 5door, do your tyres rub/ catch at all and did you need spacers?

Thanks Paul

They sometimes rub the arch liners on max lock Paul, depending what angle the cars at, its probably sortable with 175/60`s or 185/55 or 50`s, but its not bad enough for me to worry about.

It may get worse when I put my G-max suspension on, if it does then I`ll look into sorting it.

I`m not sure what offset your rims are, but if you havent got tyres on them, I`d say buy 175`s or 185`s with alower profile, especially if you`ve lowered it.

Cheers.

Aha! Something I can help with... :)

In the picture below (which was scanned from an actual photo) you can see my Uno 60 in all its dull white glory (the car I bought for $11) wearing the Lancia Beta 14" alloys on 13/6/01... oh, damn, Beta not Delta... :(

Ah well, I used 185/60 14" tyres on them. They were actually for my 128 Coupe but I put them on the Uno for a laugh. Still remember racing a friend away from the lights, me in some other car (Uno 45?), them driving this Uno 60 with the 14" wheels, looking good (y) (and not going very fast )

Cheers for your help!! ill probably go with 185/55'14's i think as i don't want them to rub!!! :(
Plus the car would sit a bit too high with the 60 profile, see below when i tried them th other week!!

My Punto GT has 185/55'14's as standard so i reckon that's the way to go!! :)

The Lancia alloy's are a bit of a marmite mod Jo0lz!!

Those Delta (Integrale?) wheels look AWESOME! :) Great condition too.
I really like the way they're on a standard-looking Uno, with an 80s shade of metallic paint... they kinda say "I want to be a rally car!"

Shame about that right-rear door :p Maybe it is worth another try, as I find paint mixed to the recipe tends to be a good match for non-pearlescent colours? Perhaps the paint shop was having an 'off' day.

I like the fitment of a Mk2 wiper motor, too ;)

How come I feel that Uno on Lancia Rims just looks WRonG

Well, we don't have to agree on everything ;)

I still think my white Uno looked pretty cool considering - my paint spraying skills weren't much good back then and that was a cheap lacquer paint (or as you call it, 'cellulose') so it was inherently rough and dull. I did the sills too, which helped to make it look slightly lower. In hindsight I wonder why I didn't lower it - it drove like one of those playground animals on a big spring - I guess because I couldn't get the appropriate springs at the time.

The blacked-out rear lights and added-on exhaust pipe tip were a particularly stupid bit of teenage nonsense and the metallic blue instrument panel cover (carefully clearcoated and polished), and metallic blue wiper blades (with blue silicone blades - remember when they came out?) were also daft. When the sun shone I was momentarily blind and the silicone wiper blades didn't actually wipe the water away.

I was surprised to see an Apple logo in evidence - I've never actually owned a Mac :)

Still, you should have seen the other set of wheels I put on that car - 128 Coupe original 13" alloys (the height of 70s) and I painted them the same metallic blue... They were so controversial that within a week of selling the car, I noticed the new owner had repainted them in conformist silver...

I`ve always loved those those Delta rims Paul, but, to me, they clash with green paint! They`d work with just about any othe colour, sorry!

And Alex, if your car was a 3 door with a satin matt black tailgate, the rims would have made it look a bit Y10-ish & maybe would have worked better!

I`ve never seen coloured wiper rubbers before, & I`ve got a doctorate in 80`s-90`s car accessories! Maybe it was unique to NZ!

As for the inherant `rough` nature of cellulose, I`d say you had the wrong viscocity on the final coat! :p

Cheers i think the sprayer was probably a friend of stevie wonder!! it was like it when i bought the car.
It hasn't been lacquered which doesn't help!! but it is the only door that isn't rusty!!
It'll get sorted evetually funds permitting, along with the rest of the car!!
Having a pair of brand new genuine front wings painted properly, so will look a bit miss matched for a while yet!!

The alloys won't be staying that colour though, there going to be gloss black or anthacite with red Abarth centre caps.

To answer your question though there Lancia Delta HF alloys, very 80's!
If you'd seen the mud on it the other week, you'd think it was a rally car lol!!

Hmmmmmm
Delta Alloys
HF Alloys
BOTH MaRmiTE
Seeing them next to each other I prefer the Delta one
BUT if the HF ones are going to be ANTHRACITE.....I would probably THEN change my mind again......;)

But then who am I to talk
I have x1/9 Cromodora on the front and X1/9 Route OZ's on the back.....
I'm clearly FICKLE as F*CK
