Ignore the wheels for the moment.

I believe that making the inside of your car as nice/ comfortable as possible is way more important than the outside.

Unless you spend more time looking at the outside of your car, than you do driving, in which case you're weird. :p

Checked back here literally minutes after i bought the Clarion in the link above, the Lidl one don't look bad for 50 quid though. Got those JBL's at the same time, so hopefully should be receiving them very soon in the post ! Still waiting for the damn Allen key socket so the oil change has been put back a futher few days (going to have to be Sunday now).

Though i did paint the bumper today, don't look too bad at all (will post pics of the car once i've finished attempting to fix it up haha)

Another update !

Stereo is fitted but have yet to wire it in, will be doing it this weekend. On the oil filter front it's bad news. Got the car up on some bricks (with much revving), got under and could NOT get the damn sump plug off, all i have is a standard 1/2 inch socket driver so i didn't have much leverage to begin with but being relatively strong i thought i may have been able to get it off. NO CHANCE. Phoned up the garage who did the MOT repairs who are going to take a look at it for me on Friday, as i have the oil and oil filter, providing i won't need a new sump plug i'm hoping it won't cost much.

Another thing i've noticed since i stalled it pulling out of a juncion on a hill in 3rd (doh !); in the morning it sometimes whines like a supercharger when revved hard up to about 2000-2500 RPM in every gear...hasn't done it for a few days now though (i heard the wining can be caused by a loose belt/pulley in the engine ?). A supercharger wasn't standard on the 1.0i.e was it ?

Wheels are now painted, gone for white which suites it very nicely, going to need two coats though.

Ahh yes bought some T-Cut and carnauba wax ready for the big 'cut' over the weekend.

Pictures of the old rot-box are due next Wednesday !!!
