These seats were a disgrace so it was time to replace them.

This is its current stage, next few little bits include, all wheel arches and side skirts.
then followed by suspension, and eventually an engine change.

Any cool little mods that anyone can think of, let me know (y)

Try searching for bumpers in the forum or something like that, i think i've read a few things about using a heat gun on them which makes them look brand new :p but i can't remember (y)

So far so good, needs lowering...
Few easy mods you could do...
Colour code your mirrors and the rear boot latch handle.makes it looks so much smarter imo
That looks like rosso shiraz met 127/8?? the colour code can be found inside on the rear hatch iirc there should be a sticker there indicating the exact paint code.

Fit a standard mk2 turbo steering wheel.
Debadge the back for a cleaner look
Make an open mouth debadged mesh grille, theres a guide on here somewhere do a search and you will find it.

cheers for the comments and ideas.

i have no idea why i have one reflector it was there when i got it and never actually thought bout taking it off. (i will be taking it off now though)

it does need lowering and i will be doing that soon i think,
35mm i think ill lower it too, as anymore and i would have to do changes to my arches.

and how does the satin black paint come out when applied well? and is it in a can?

the tyres are 195/45/15 i think.. not entirely sure but i think thats what they are.
how would that sit, cus i did have a full car the other day and although the standard suspension is softer then performance, i managed to slightly scrape my tyre on the arch.

could be about 7j?
i have those size tyres but obv 16" on 7.5J wheels lol and i had alot of work done just to fit the wheels, lowering wasnt much of an issue lol
but i use 5mm spacers all round and plenty of mods :p

Looking good Dale, got an Turbo steering wheel if your interested.
You coming down Saturday mate?

nice one mate i think ill have that off you.
i can't do it saturday though as far as i know...
how much will you let it go for?

if i cant get it this weekend then ill buy it when i have the money and you could post it (y)

I have just fitted the turbo dials to my uno (y)
looking better by the day.
this weekend i pick up all the wheel arch trims and skirts.

i have unfortunatly got brown interior (well, the seats are turbo and i have turbo door cards waiting to be put on, but that leaves the whole front dash area brown...now i have a dilema.
is it possible to do a whole front dash area change to black to match, or will i have to buy some interior spray and change it that way?

i know its the 3rd post by me ina row but ah well.

just an update,
picking up suspension and couple of other bits on friday.

and if all is well i shall have them fitted along side all turbo door cards and electric window conversion:D

side skirts and wheel arches to go on too i shall post pics up when done(y)

does anyone know how long the satin black paint spray takes to dry?

Cant wait to see all the bits on it then Dale, if your going to paint your dash just remember to mask absolutely everything off (y)

Dont forget ive got an Uno Turbo dash board for sale, you know where i live haha

Yes. You can change the whole dashboard over for a black one. It's actually quite easy, just follow the Haynes manual and take your time (y)

Don't use colour spray on your existing dash as most sprays don't work very well. Besides, you need to the dashboard out to make a good job of spraying it, so if you're taking it out you may as well swap it over for a black one... ;)

cheers for the advice, i think i will get a black one and replace my current dash interior.
going for the complete turbo look.(y)

as for all the arches and bumpers i have the paint for, hopefully all going on.

as i sed ill post pics up on sunday of how far i have got.

also, i have a question.

are the hubs of the brakes on a standard uno different from the turbo ones, for example if i get the turbo size discs will the calipers fit fine or will it not due to bigger discs?

Cheers
Dale
