i have a Mk 2 uno and i am looking to fit the fog lamps into the front bumper. i was looking at the haynes manual and realised that there is a plastic housing into where the front fog sits. this plastic housing is almost fused into the back of the front bumper.

while looking at my car i noticed that there is no plastic housing in my front bumper. while looking head on at the car, i can see the location where the front fog lamp needs to sit on the bumper. but on closer examination from behing the front bumper, there is nothing present behind the front fog lamp slot. its a void.

i want to know where i can source this plastic housing from, and uno spares are hard to find. i dont mind shipping them down to india. i was also looking for the front fog lamp itself and figured out that there is this company based in taiwan making these components called Depo.

i can source this part but i wont have a place to house it in my car.... i need help....

The MK2 front bumper with fogs is rather different to them without. Uno SX and Turbo bumpers which have fog lamps are similar. The only difference is the lower grill for the air and oil coolers on the turbo bumper.


The bumpers with fogs are taller, and so sit lower to the ground. The plastic brackets which hold the fog lamps are held to the bumper by 4 screws and if you buy a whole bumper, usually come with it.

I got a whole new SX bumper from e-bay for £10. you can buy them new from places like http://www.car-part-finder.co.uk/bodypanels.asp sell them for £22.80 plus shipping and vat.

They don’t come with the lamps though.

so your saying that its not possible to get these lamps fixed into the Mk 2 non turbo & non SX bumper is it.

well arent the plastic housings sold separately??

if that is possible then i can get these lamps fixed!

I also got an Uno 45 fire engine non turbo. I bought my Uno foglamps in ebay. Though it's quite a challenge getting one, but they're a few on sale every now and then. Just check them on ebay.(especially England and Italy) The plastic holder comes with the lamps. Hope this helps.

hey Juan, that surely does help. are u sure that the front fogs come with the plastic holder. can you tell me what is the correct part number and manufacturer. i am able to source only the Taiwan made depo lamp and this does not come with the holder. are you refering to the carrello unit?

Though we have quite a few Unos here in the Philippines, We have parts but unfortunately accessories like fog lamps are not available anymore.

Depo is made in Taiwan, maybe its available there. But as you said the plastic holder is not included.

Last month I bought fog lamps for my Uno for around 2k(glass covers, clamps & H3 55w included). The make is Neolite - Neo 869 clear glass. I don't know if lumax or any other manufacturer makes them for UNO.

You'll have to cut the front bumper to fix these and only the top side of the glass should protrude.

If you get this item, make sure you replace the wire from the reflector with a high grade wire and use wire sheath for both, make sure the sheath doesn't touch the bulb's metal or reflector. (mine got burned within 3mins of switching on the lamps :bang
