Fiat Uno Turbo Engine rebuild

Hi all,

I've got a Fiat Uno turbo engine from a mark one model. Its done 100, 000 miles. I don't collect scrap metal or anything like that but I have brought it as a project to convert my Fiat X19. I'd like to rebuild the engine fully ( I can hear you laughing already) with professional help to do the tricky bits.

Has anyone rebuilt one of these engines and can they offer any advice with regard to expenses and difficulties that I might come across?

Cheers

GoFast

as far as i know general wear and tear parts such as rings, big end bearings that kind of thing are still available.

are you looking for a standard rebuild or something quite substantial.

cheers

Re: Fiat Uno Turbo Engine rebuild

It depends on how far you want to go with the engine

If its a standard rebuild with standard components then you might only have to replace such items as piston rings and gastkets

Speak to GUY CROFT (www.Guy-croft.com)

VERY established but not cheap race engine builder
Quality doesnt come cheap but results mean quality and use of good components

Or you'll put it togeather and it'll be ****!

Re: Fiat Uno Turbo Engine rebuild

Is there anything actually wrong with the engine? 100k is not much, they are usually still in good order with that mileage
