The seam sealer took a lot longer than I thought it would to apply!!

Didn’t go on as I'd envisaged

Rightly or wrongly I’ll be doing another thicker wider coat on top (y)

I know what you mean! Is this sealant squeezed out of a cartridge - if so, I found it's difficult to get a standard look, but it helps to 'tool' it - shape it with a flat blade or maybe even a plate with a notch cut out to give a square-edged profile.

Alternatively, 3M have a seam sealer that comes on rolls - like a strip of blu-tack, probably similar to that applied in the factory (and we know how well that worked ) Check with your paint supply shop - I doubt that 'frauds' would carry it ;)

EDIT: Looking brilliant, by the way (y)
I'm looking forward now to my next engine-out full paint job - it just looks so clean and satisfying compared to working around what's there.

id be lucky:ROFLMAO: ...hes in the garage from the moment hes ate dinner till gone midnight atm!

Im afraid my Sei Turbo is guilty of the hold up, we've decided to de mod the interior, from stripped out back to standard-ish....its taken far far longer than planned, and with only today left to drive it (tax runs out) im hopefull it will be compleated this afternoon, just in time to take litle-un out for her first run (and possibly last, as its auction ends in 2days) in it:)

So in therory the Uno project should be 'back on' as of tomorrow:cool:

Go on our kid!

Dont forget to get some carpet for under the wheels when they go on like Gran's Uno ;)

Thanks for the comments guys!!

As the engine, bay and hoses are all nice and clean I’ve been sorting out the pipes, brackets and bits every night this week. I’ve got a few pics to upload but have no time to sort them out. Still a few more bits to do.

Can’t say I remember the carpet in Gran’s garage but it don’t sound farfetched lol.

well FF hasnt seen Louie for 5days, and neither have i ...except for feeding and watering and the odd snuggle in the early hours! He's still in the garage working away and this week is full steam ahead:slayer:
