If you need a hand with anything just give us a shout. i know ut inside out bar the gearbox.

dont worry to much about your engine, bad 1s normally leak lots of oil due to pressurization of the sump.
this happens when the rings are excessively worn. valve sills, and worn exhaust valve guides are likely to be the culprit of oil leaking in to the combustion chambers.

MK1 sleeper thread?

Cheers for poping round and sorting out a couple of plates Mr Unoturbo'd

Found a couple more tiny ones..

Little update on my Uno

Still in need of a bit of a rub down :) then time for some spray (y)

I recognise that garage floor - funny to think I was lying there in the cold just over a year ago, trying to kick the wheels off that Uno from underneath :)

I didn't know brake calipers were steel on the Uno Turbo. Caliper carriers always are, but I thought the caliper itself was usually alloy (it used to be in the 70s) until I found that my Punto's calipers are plated steel (and now, painted gold as well ;))

Yes Alex and Chas it’s slow progress

Them wheels nearly took all day to get off! I was well annoyed that it looked like they weren’t gonna part from the car, which helped them come off :).

May be looking for silver paint for my callipers.

Couple more pics.

LOL!
Gotta love that de-Chav guide...
"Step 1 - remove yellowed 90s-style clear side repeater that looks like cack"
"Step 2 - check hole for rusting and repair as necessary"
"Step 3 - fit original 80s-style uniquely-styled side repeater..."

I have a Max Power 'Little Black Book", somewhere, that has more or less the same steps but in reverse ;)

I like the Anti Maxpower approach!

I’d better post up what’s really been happening with the MK1

Had a few more bits welding done. Can you see where? Cheers again Troy for the handy work!

Maybe a good time to refresh the seam sealer too.

Good to see you using buckets for axle stands. My dad taught me that trick. ;)
