what could make a bangining/knocking sound  the mot had no notes regarding anything around the front, but every now and again, (oftenish done about 3 times in 5 minutes) it makes a clonk/bang kind of through the steering/suspension.... nothing was seen in the mot so presumabley nothing hanging off etc but any ideas what i should look for? it all feels ok but it just sounds like the wheels about to fall off.

and does anyone who knows about uno's live near me? i need some help with just giving it a go over, the wiring is all over the place etc, i just dont know where to start to tidy it up, its just such a mess, easy if you know what your doing im sure tho.

Could be many things

I'd have a look arount the engine mounts first - maybe the rear gearbox one

ahhhhhhh you reckon its the engine mount then, he said its going, i forgot, its a rubber one under the rear at the back near the exhaust i think, its pretty ****ed but the engines not going to fall out, its just the rubber is all badly perished but not an mot fail or advisory, i forgot he told me.

From reading the forums, it seems to be the one that goes first, so a good start point.

I'd still have a good look around cos it may not be that, and yer a wheel may be ready to fall off

Sure they are like the other Unos - fix one noise, hear another

Well there you go. See, it was 'going' the other day/week/whenever, so that means it's 'gone' now

Now you're in the same situation as https://www.fiatforum.com/uno-technical/158714-gearbox-mounting.html. Best of luck!

this sounds abit like my problem. But im sure its not a mount(for me), sounds like something lighter, can be heard over small bumps

Dont worry uprated engine/gearbox mounts in development! :)

I too am pissed off with crappy jelly mounts!
Ill do what i can when i get things rolling at uni!

Ive already spoken to vibratecs about uprated ones for UTs, they need originals to make copies but cant say much on the price!
