Hi all,

So since last time i posted ive not got two brand new inner sills, complete outersills and repair panels everywhere! yehah.

Ok so refitted bumper better mounted exhaust etc and drove it back from the workshop in the countryside to my driveway in town.

On the way i put £20 of super unleaded in.

It drips.

I had the fuel tank out to do the welding-was safer.
But now its got a tiny leak around the fuel pump.

The weird union that has two copper seals/o'rings on has a pin-prick sized leak- think i need some new copper seals on there.

Anyway as i was removing /disconnecting the right angled union from the fuel pump the fuel pipe span around and knocked into the electrical connection on the fuel pump and mashed off the terminal.

My car is the 1.4 uno turbo i.e, and has the fuel pump with two separate connections on it with rubber covers over each.

Has anyone ever soldered one of these terminals back onto the fuel pump- and is there anyway i can perform a repair? or should i be looking at a new pump? :( (not what i want really!!)

Getting poor now!

Any help or suggestions would be nice :)

Thanks

just had an inspirational idea!
Has anyone used liquid metal before? and does it conduct electricity?

..welll my theory was if im taking the pump of i may aswell change it, so that's what i'll do.
might bench repair it when its off and keep as a spare ;)
