Anyone help please, I found a link in the forums which partially answered a similar question some time ago, unfortunately doesnt go far enough.

I am, at the end of the day looking for the ignition timing for UNO 1.0 IE 1997.
Distributer is a Marelli 101C but this does not appear in my Haynes (Supplement for later models), there are other numbers but not 101C. It could be that the C is actually a G which according to the Haynes givies a figure of 3 degrees but I doubt it. My engine markings are 0, 5, 10, 15 degrees I suspect the correct one would be 10 degrees ??????

Does anyone have a late version of the Haynes please to check for this model?

I'm fairly certain it is 3 degrees as it is on most 999cc FIREs. Plus the markings you describe are standard on all 999cc FIRE Unos. You set the timing (vacuum advance unplugged, pipe to carburettor blocked) dynamically and have it so the flywheel mark is to the lower side of the 5 degree pointer.

That's how the timing on all my 999cc FIREs have been set (y)

Thanks for your reply, sounds good. If thats the case mine must be a 101G and I have read it as C.
There is a G in my Haynes (3deg) but no 101C.
