mine is a 1991 J registered MK2 45S 1.0L Fire in midnight blue, like you said (whoever it was ;) ) there's a bit of rust but not much... there are only two really bad rust spots one is the sill on the driver's door (which probably isn't too good for the window mechanism...) and the other is just a fairly small one in the corner of the sunroof. The car cost £50 in october and had 55000 exactly on the clock. The car is taxed n tested till march, but I'm going to be putting it thru it's MOT fairly soon anyway.

Defo my best purchase of 2004!

My little Uno is a 1988 (F plate) 45 FIRE which my parents bought for me after I passed my test back in 1993 and it only had 23000 miles on the clock. It only failed it's MOT last year with a requirement for some welding to be done on the subframe. It has covered nearly 140,000 miles in that time all over the country and has never really failed on anything badly.
I am now just about to start the rebuild and get it back on the road.

mine is a 1997 model and it was first registered on the road in 1999. Extras include a rear spoiler, leccy windows, central lock with remote, alarm, immobiliser and clarion radio cassette. Quite pleased with the little car. Oh yes its a 45 FIRE model.....5 door.:D

I've got a MK2 '91 (h reg) 45 Fire (999cc). Engine is bog standard, as is the exterior. Interior ive retrimmed the door panels, red aluminium checkerplate flooring, new seats + stearing wheel + gear leaver + handbrake on the cards soon. Red cold cathode lighting with red illuminated dials, and sequential shift LEDs(F1 style) + Seperate tacho.

ICE: 2x 12" kenny subs off a 1200w kenny amp, sony headunit, kicker & infinity comps front and back.

Hi all,

I have an F reg 1989 Formula 45 with a 903cc engine! Only 47k on the clock, pretty much no rust, and Blaupunkt CD/MP3 unit with iPod connectivity :D.
She runs pretty fine, and is great as a run around - loves the motorway too!

hi, i'm in an L reg uno (mk2) 1.0ie start, i've had it almost a year now and all i've done to it is replaced the badges and put seat covers on it!! LOL I did buy a cigarette lighter but am dammned if i can figure out how to fit it!!!

although i did just loose the keys! oops!

 Sorry I’m late lol.

Previously I’ve had a 1986 and a 1988 903cc Mk1 base model Unos  .

At The moment I’m with the Mk2 October 1993 1.0IE 3 door Uno. 78K Miles on the clock – Turbo / SX seats, rear trim. Also Lowered 35mm on Jamex sports kit.

:) However, the 999 FIRE (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4535384030&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT) from 1988 may not be broken :dead:!

Unfortunately? The collection didn’t happen on 2 occasions, so I decided :D Bianca deserves a second chance. (y) The E-bay seller will be looking into MOT’ing her for me Hopefully next week.

:worship: As long as it’s nothing too bad (should she fail) Ill sort it and keep her.

 Fingers Crossed I’ll be driving a 1988 Mk1 again by the end of the week.

Regards All,

1991 999 FIRE 45 5 dr, Blue, 75,000, bought it for 150 from mate 4 weeks ago. Only prob is that the heat control (LH knob) is now stuck on - so I've got some fiddling to do. Scrappy has a later IE 3 dr, so I'll go and get some bits. His has great cond. seats, so I might swap them out - how much work to do that, and will seats from a 3 dr fit a 5 dr?

Well, mine is a -87 70 SL. Only 6600 miles, in very good condition. The car was really standard when i bought it but i'm working on to fix that. New 195/45/15 came on this weekend and som bodygraphics too. New pics will come in my gallery soon.

i got me a 1993 uno 60 DS, with red/black seat covers, kenwood speakers and panasonic headunit.

although i have a few problems with it at the moment and its getting me down :bang:

I still have my May 1986 Uno 45S, 1.0 FIRE engine, 77,000 miles on the clock. Seems I still have the oldest road legal Uno on the board?

Pretty much rust free other than the drivers door, runs great and so cheap to run. It's also good fun to drive for such a small engine.

A few mods, but nothing drastic. SX instruments and clock unit, SX steering wheel, turbo plastic hatch and X19 alloys to be fitted when I get back home.

Had a knock in it just before Xmas, other drivers fault. Insurance coughed up a nice little sum though, and all mine needed was a new steering rack (I had one lying around in the back garden from years back, cost me not a penny!)

So now I have a bit of cash to spend on the old girl. Rather than tart it up, I'm going to buy a barrel of Wayoxl and make sure she never rusts! I'm sure I'll pick up a few other bits from scrappies/ parts stores along the way ;-)

Chas
