now im getting a cone air filter for my car on wednesday and im gonna have to take off the rather large air box i have on at the min and i was just wondering what i do with the pipe that comes from the front of the car near the fan and then it goes into the excisting air box do i need to extend the pipe and point it at the new filter or do i jst take it off and leave it as it is?

gotta love the uno's

You need to get as much air as u can to the filter, so get a load of ducting and direct it to the filter.

Or even better, do something like this

Take a look at the existing pipe near the radiator. It is actually completely blocked. It's fake. It's not even a hole there. Make hole and route a flexible hose towards your new filter. Or attach your new hose to your bumper somewhere. You need air.

well ive got mine on now. i dint manage to get the greens air filter cos the place where i ordered it from dint send off the order and said it wud be 2 weeks. so i went and got a max power universal one. but its not universal cos i had to make some modifications to it i.e cut the rubber real and make it thinner to make the whole wider put some super grease and hey presto it went on a simple 2min slide over and tighen up job took me 40mins :(

gotta love the uno's

cos im the moderator for this section of the forum and i have the power to make it sticky thats y ok? any problems with that?

gotta love the uno's

I don't have a problem with it, but just because you have the power to do it, I don't think you should get first in line on a standard topic / question like this. The other sticky (Hayne's manual) is a good sticky.

My opinion though.

Yeh i agree with Morty Mort on this one, i couldnt see why this topic was sticky as well, its not like its gona help the majority of Uno drivers out like the Haynes one would

I agree too...sticky's are for things like the haynes link; for the benefit of all. IMO anyway...
