Ahoy there fellers.

My 1100 just out of the blue started feeling like it's running on three cylinders, and the fourth one is trying to kick in but not quite getting it there. If I come to a stop I have to keep the engine revving or else it's another story to try and get it started again.

I checked the engine timing as well as the distributor timing. I I won't start at all now. I know petrol is getting through, because it starts coughing into a bit of life when she starts smelling like a refeuled petrol tanker. Can anyone please give me some guidelines on what else I can check. I recently did the cylinder head gasket, and it's been doing fine for the past 4 thousand kays. Doubt it's that, no water in oil and vice versa.

The motor bounces around in the front like there's no tomorrow as well. Very uneven.

Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you help me? Which type of gearbox you have. I have same Fire 1100 carburattor, but I have still problem with gearbox and I don`t know which type I`will need
Thank

so lemme get it straight...
the car idles roughly, but its doing fine when its moving right? its runnin ok when the gas is pressed?
i had an expirience with this, you might want to check out the followings:

1. sensor attached behind the throttle body that regulates air. it should look like it has two horns... vacuum cables >)- throttle body.
2. the floaters inside your carburetor. one of the floater might be leaking that screws up the fuel measurement...

i had similar problem and fixing these two did it for me. however, must be noted that i have an Uno 70sl with 1.4L engine...

hope this help sir,

kert.-
