Here's a tricky one,,, My car: Uno 1.1 FIRE engine.

When I try to shift down from 4th gear to 3rd gear my gear would grind quite badly. This happens especially in the morning with the car's temperature being below 85degrees.

Once the engine is warm and running for a while it seems to just dissappear.

Try changing the gearbox oil. Probably just the syncro getting a bit worn, quite common on 3rd. I suggest being a bit more gentle with the change until the engine warms up.

Sounds like a problem I was having on my Uno Mia 1100, instead it was 2nd gear for me, so i taught nothing of it, until I went on holiday 300km from home and got stuck their. Had to get towed all the way back, anyways I couldnt really diagnose what the actual fault was, cause I replaced the clutch and pressure plate as well as the slave kit. But my guess would be is that your car is due for a new clutch and pressure plate. After changing that, car no more grinds in second.
