General Stop - Start 1.9 TD

Hi, any ideas on the cause of the latest problem with the wifes Uylsse would be greatly appreciated.
When starting from cold, she fires up ok, but when you drive off the engine losses power as if run out of fuel. Take foot off accelerator or depress the clutch and engine settles and you can build up speed but same thing happens again until engine temp guage reads around the 75 - 80*C mark and then no problems.
When cold, if I crawl along like an old fart out on a Sunday drive, I can generally get away with only a few kangaroo jumps down the road, so if anyone can help shed some light on what may be causing the problem...I look forward to your reply.

First thing I would do is have the fuel filter changed (supposed to be changed every two years) cheap to do and may well solve the problem Filter about £12 to buy

I'd get a diagnosis done on it paying particular attention to EGR & airflow readings.
