anybody got lpg fitted to there ulysse im wondering what mpg you get and what sort of cost are we looking at for fitting:D

the guy i got my lpg'd uly off of reckoned that it was doin the equivelant of 40 to 50 (depending on town or mway)to the gallon,i dont know cause it packed up a couple of days after i got, duff vapouriser apparently,i missed out on a complete lpg conversion on ebay the other day, went for £85,gutted and it was the same as mine.

I have a 2003 Eleganza Auto with LPG, it's the Prins system and I think your looking at around £1,200 now for install. It's the sequential system so has a second set of injectors just for the gas. I get about 23mpg now on LPG, not sure what I got on petrol because the computers are never that accurate but I think said it was around 26-27mpg. LPG has gone up along with petrol but is about 45p litres. So it's about 46mpg equivalent on LPG. If anything it seems faster on LPG than petrol and the oil stays really clean becuase of less particles in the fuel.

Not sure if I would have it done again as the Goverment seems to have done a 'U' turn on tax concessions for LPG. So in a few years it may not financially as good. I guess it depends on how long you will keep the car and the number of miles you do a year.

£1,200 think thats more than the old p reg uly is worth having said that we do want to keep it for a while ,we looked at the ulysse deisels about the same age but a large number on ebay or for sale seem to have had or have head probs sort of puts you of . (y) thanks for the reply

If you go down the DIY route and fit LPG without a LPGA certificate of inspection then you are unlikely to be covered by your insurance. They are getting really strict now on this.

I guess you could fit it and have it checked to get a certificare, but I am not sure.

Don't forget you get a whole £10 off your road fund licence as part of the green initiative !!

a whole tenner, how genorous.....so what do you get charged extra for ,so they get it back(give with one hand....take back with the other) isnt that how government and local councils etc work,:(n)
