Hi again

We've only recently got our Ulysse, a '96 2.0 EL. Do any of you find the clutch to be particularly heavy on your Ulysses? Admittedly, we've just come from an old Landrover which had a notably heavy, clutch, but to be honest the Ulysse isn't a lot lighter.

Is there any way of adjusting a clutch to make it easier?

Thanks

Jim

Hi,

Obviously you have an older style Ulysse, which I have never driven. On our model, never found the clutch heavy - I know this doesn't really help. Sorry!!!! Plus I have no idea how to make it lighter.

Hi,

You could wear really heavy shoes of course !!!.

It is probably either a worn thrust bearing in the clutch or somebody has replaced the return spring with a very strong one.

If you pop to a dealer they won't charge to have a quick look and give you there opinion.

Cheers Guys

I'll take it to my local dealer and see what they say. The clutch was apparently replaced a year or so ago, so you may be right about the return spring.

Thanks

Jim

had the same problem..very heavy clutch..had the clutch plate changed to a new one and hey presto...it became wonderfully light!
