Just Bought A Ulysse 2.0 Diesel. The Car Has Come With No Sat Nav Disc - Any Ideas How I Can Get One. Also Problem With The Built In Mobile Phone - It Doesn't Work - The "network" Sign Does Not Light Up So Cannot Connect And Even When Sim Card Is Inserted Is Says "sim Card Missing Or Poorly Inserted". Have Cleaned Terminals But Same Problem - Any Ideas Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

You can get sat nav discs direct from Navtec (or Navteq) but they are expensive, I would try ebay, try sellers in Europe who will ship to the UK as well as UK sellers.

Don't know about the phone, you could try a new sim card holder.

Hi,

i have got the same problem with my sim card. What i have done is to put a small piece of plastic tube on the end of the sim card, so when it goes off stating no sim card or poorly inserted, i just pull it out slightly and then back into position. This is alot easier than getting a needle or similar object to enable the removale of the sim holder.I did try a new sim holder but that did not work any better.

Also put a little bit of glue on the two edges so that it does not allow the sim card to go right the way in, otherwise you will still have trouble in getting it back out without the aid of a needle.Even if it does not lock right into place, it will still register.

Thats about all i can say on the subject, as the dealer said that it is not under guarantee.

You will find it loads better doing it the same way as myself i promise.

Best regards,

Steve.

Hi ,

the reason for my method is that you can remove the sim card and replace whilst driving.

As you rightly say, you can use a pen etc, but would im sure need to pull over when the error message comes up.

Doing it my way you can litterally pull it out with no problems, and you dont need a pin etc as you dont put it in quite that far so as not to lock it in place. You will find that by doing this it will still work fine.

Regards,
Steve.
