Has anyone had any problems with the rear wash? I turned mine on the other day only to find that instead of the water coming out on the rear window it was squirting out somewhere inside the rear pillar. Investigation showed that the pipe had come apart and water was spraying over electrics such as the motor for the sliding door! I managed to put it together again but it has since come apart.

Hi,

Has the pipe gone brittle so it doesn't grip or is the jet blocking and causing a back pressure.

You are sure having bad luck, Keggers! Now where is that wood that John K mentioned in a previous thread......

If i was you mate i would refuse the car seems just to many problems for my liking you will spend years getting it right, A friday afternoon car if ever their was one lol

Not had a problem with the rear wash wipe, but the front ones are somewhat prone to freezing up I've found. Anyone any good tips for dealing with this (or has no-one else experienced this)?

Not yet had it myself [the freezing!], but then I don't have car first thing in morning :(.

I am still surprised telematics doesn't tell you no water in resevoir, or is mine broke?!? Does it in other cars I have owned.

I have a 2000 Ulysse.

Same thing happened. Pipe came off in the rear pillar.

Problem was my new Multi play CD was below it and got wet. Was then knackered.

Another problem I've found on the rear wash wipe is the one way valve, situated under the floor below the rear seats. I'm on my 4th one now!! A real pain to get to![:(!]

My car was with my local dealer two weeks because the tailgate locked shut but indicated it was open - stopping the central locking from working. Their fix lasted about a month before happening again this Saturday afternoon. So this time had to call out the AA under warranty.

Turns out the tailgate wash wipe hose had come away from the tailgate wiper and was dripping down onto the tailgate lock electrics.

Fortunately Mr AA was able to dry out lock motor under his bonnet and apply what will hopefully be a more permanent fix (a clip securing the hose)

When I operated the rear washer on my 2004 Ulysse the front worked instead. This lasted for a few months and now it has stopped altogether so I installed a new pump (bit of a job to get at) but it still does not work. Any ideas anyone?

Yes mate, it done it a couple of tikmes... most annoying! Put it back together, use a small ty-wrap over the pipeand inner tubing. Had no problems since, even with oer pressurising due to icy pipes!

Result.

By the way, anyone know where I can get a Manual for my 2.0l Eleganza. Fiat can't even get me one!
