Hello!

My blower motor tilted in my Scudo recently and now I need to replace it. But how to remove dashboard and blower without doing any further damage? Does anyone have workshop manual or useful hints?
I've understood that the dashboard of Scudo is similar to Ulysse?

It's getting " a little" hot in my car, because the temps have been around 30 C...

This is for the dash:

Dont need to remove dash to renew scudo heater blower motor.

I can see that there's a black object (supposedly blower, since there's Behr written in it) partly visible under the lower part of the dashboard. How do you switch it without removing the whole lower part of the dashboard?

@gball: thanks for the pic!

Left hand or right hand drive. Also is yours the single or twin blower motor model?

Left hand drive. I don't know if it's single or twin blower, how do you know it?
Anyway, there's no air conditioning in it (if it has anything to do with it).

@T14086: The blower motor is below the gear switch lever approximately at the centerline of the car. This means there's only one motor?

The scudo we have here the heater blower motor is located behind the glovebox, are you sure its behind the centre consul area?....thats new to me.The heater box is there but like I said the heater box is behind glovebox.

You're right, the motor is behind the glovebox. I thought the heater box to be the motor. So, do I need to remove/swing aside the lower (grey) part of the dash or is it possible to switch it just from under?

Well on UK versions I just remove glovebox & the fusebox cover behind that, this lets you see things a bit better.Under the dash I think there is a metal bracket with a round wire block connector you have to remove. The heater motor has 3 x 6mm or 7mm screws that hold it in.
Hope this helps? If your stuck post back & I will be back on tomorrow evening(y)

Now the blower is removed. It was actually rather easy, at least comparing to Ford Transit. In my Scudo glovebox is "welded" into the lower dash such that I needed to remove the whole thing. Anyway, that wasn't so tricky.

I noticed that the blower motor is OK, but the resistor which regulates voltage to the motor seems to be dead. Tomorrow to the car parts dealer...:D

OK, now the regulator is replaced and the blower works happily. It was worth doing it by myself, in local Fiat Service they would have replaced the whole blower installation including motor and all -> cost 460 EUR +work...

Hi, glad to see you fixer your motor, can you tell me which resistor you are referring to, is it the one on the slider panel?

I have the same problem with my fan and just about to remove it.

Thanks
Darren
