Three weeks to the very day after having a new cambelt fitted at a local fiat dealership our ulysse died. The AA were duly called and said the cambelt was broken. The dealership were called they towed it back to there garage to check on the problem and suprise, suprise the water pump which had absolutely, 100 per cent been checked when the cambelt was fitted and was fine had collapsed and pushed off the cambelt. £400.00 is now required to strip the engine and check out the damage before we even think about any repairs and the dealership say they are in no are in no way responsible.A friend who is a mechanic says this is a usual cop out and this should have been spotted my husband uses this vehicle for his private hire business which means literally time is money and boy do they know it. Trading standards advise we do not move the vehicle but first speak to the general manager, who for some reason won`t answer our calls. We then `phoned fiat customer services who don`t like to get involved unless necessary, MORE TIME. Tommorow we will be having our ulysse towed away from fiat to a local garage if only we had took it there in the first place instead of thinking fiat would be reliable and a guarantee of good workmanship, there service has been diabolical. Fiat vehicles, excellent anything goes wrong, don`t deal with the dealership, if we`re anything to go by you will get shafted!!!
