Just picked up my new ulysse eleganza like most their was no 12v socket on the drivers chair and also the rear. the dealer is going to see what he can do on monday also having problems with the connect nav, can anyone tell me what the three page form is called got disc's but no information on how to connect or register to connect nav if i have the name of the form it will give me a fighting chance on moday with my dealer as he has not a clue.

Hi,

The form that I was given appears to have been faxed from Italy and the heading is Connect Application Form and has the following:

Contract Code Number (To be provided by the contact centre). Mine is 5 digits

Connect Code Number (To be taken from the device in the vehicle)This begins 52 followed by your chassis number (the initial zero on mine has been replaced with a 1. This may or may not be the same for everyone)You then have various contact detail sections and the mobile number being registered. The contact centre number is 08000 964823 which should be called from the car mobile when you are ready to set it up. They may be able to help with getting the form etc.

Cheers for that it will be a big help. I will go to see the dealer monday armed with this info it should help no end.

Second day with car and it is better than i thought it would be only one thing worries me when i first got it, when i locked it the mirrors would fold and the lights flash but the last few times i have locked it it has given a loud beep is this right as it did not beep before.

Hi,

It does this on mine if one of the doors or rear tailgate is not closed properly. Maybe one of the door sensors is showing that a door is open. Is there anything on the display to say a door is open just before you get out.

Good luck getting it sorted.

Poggy

Cheers poggy it was the passenger door that was not shut properly it is amazing that they do not put things like this in the books that came with the car. It is a good job forums like this are around.

Hi,

Apparently the original manual was in French and a lot was lost in the translation. Maybe it was translated from French to Italian and then to English, that would explain a lot !!!!!.

Is yours a petrol auto.

Poggy

yep it is a petrol auto not been to bad on fuel upto now but i guess you have to expect to use more when you are driving such a large car. Was a bit **** that the two 12v socket's where missing and there is not even a blanking plate where the one on the drivers seat should be. It is like they have done away with them all together, had a moan to the dealer and he is going to have a look at what he can do on monday but i won't hold my breath. Have to say that after driving manual cars all my life i am glad i went for an auto eleganza it is such a good car to drive and i am also glad that they did away with the black trim around the gear stick and used the crome from the 806 it looks a lot better with the rest of the dash.

Does yours have the CD autochanger? If so, that's why one of the sockets (the one in the driver seat) will be missing. You should have the rear one though. Complain to your dealer and ask them to fit a rear socket where the blanking plate is.

John (who went through this one myself about 3 months ago)

No it has no CD autochanger or electric doors so i don't see why they did'nt fit the 12v sockets but as they where part of the spec think that the dealer should fit them and charge fiat will see how i go on monday as he has promised to look at it and if possible fit them.

Having electric doors is not a factor for the 12V outlets. An Eleganza should have the rear one regardless - it's only the one on the driver seat that disappears if you have a CD autochanger.

Sounds like your dealer is doing the right thing. I wish you luck!

John

12 Volt socket in front seat dropped as of September according to my dealer. Rear socket does have the wires and should be fitted under warranty. Check the Rear Socket post for more info

Hi,

The strange thing is that my car was actually built in October and it does have the drivers seat socket where as everybody else doesn't. It was built to order as I had lots of options on it.

As I have mentioned in the Rear Sockets posting. Communication/political problems between Fiat and Peugeot?

Who knows.

Mine was built in November, maybe it took two months for the directive to filter through.

Lou

Hi,

I also was told by the dealer that they had a spec change notice about dropping the drivers socket! Will still be getting my back one done under warranty though.

Stu

My dealer looked at my car yesterday and ordered a rear socket to be fitted but their is no way to fit one to the drivers seat as their is no cut out for it. Also someone on the forum mentioned not having the set up disk to change the the setting on the cars telematic system as their dealer said that they do not give them out any more, but mine came with it and is software version 5.3.

Hi,

You mention version 5.3 ? Any more numbers. If you look at other forums, most of us got either 5.31 or 5.32. It is 5.32 they are not giving out any more coz you can seriously damage the whole Connect system [apparently].

Stuart

I had 5.3.1 given to me with all the other stuff for the car (not done anything with it though). You need the disk to change the digitized voice from female to male apparently.

I asked my dealer about 5.3.2, and they said they knew it existed as a part but hadn't been advised to upgrade anyone on 5.3.1 to it and hadn't been shipped one by Fiat for their workshop kit, so I guess the changes are minor!

No over numbers all it has on the box or disk is v5.3. Also looking Through my manual and noticed an item called elastic bands that go between the driver and passenger seats to hold small items like shopping bags did anyone get them as all I got with my car was a luggage net the locks to get off the wheels and the two cd’s one with the maps and the over to set up the telematic system. Also noticed when at dealer that the head light was scratched so they have also got to replace that.

Hi,

The elastic bands are at the very bottom of the seats. If you look down the gap between the seats you will see thay are attached from the back of the seat to the front. You have to unclip them and then you can put them between the seats. I didn't notice them for ages.
