Just what kind of light bulbs does my Ulysse have??? It's a 2.0 16V petrol Eleganza. The headlights look like these big round thick lens type and I can't see what type of bulb it is. I don't think they are Xenon because I don't have washer jets (legal requirement in UK I think)... so what are they????

Help :)

1) The water jets are hidden in the bumper and pop-up when needed, only a flat little plate is visible when not in use, so maybe they're there and you are not aware of them.

2) You can tell if they're Xenons - if you have beam hight adjustment dial - located next to driver's (right in UK?) knee - they're Halogens. If you don't have it - Xenons.

3) Change of bulbs (Halo) is not so easy and you may get aid from a little mirror.

Yes changing the bulbs in not a 5 minute job. Small hands and lots of swearing involved.
Especially if you need to get the sidelight bulbs out!

Anybody notice that the passenger side dipped headlight seems to have a dark patch in the center?
Mine is very bright right in front of the car then a big dim patch then ok again.
New bulb didn't make any difference.

aah, then mine are halogen, not Xenon.. Although I must say I think they are excellent, especially when complimented by the front fog lights (dark lanes only you understand) :)

Although at £125 per bulb for the Xenons... I'm glad I've got halogen!!

I've just replaced my Halogens with Xenon replacments for less than £30

Yes the fog lights are nice but it drives me mad that if you go to mainbeam it kills the fog lights automatically. So if driving down dark lanes you can't have main and fog on.
(I know your not supposed to but the extra light is useful)
