When you press the unlock button on the remote, it switches off the alarm, and unlocks the doors. If you do not open a door within 60 secs the doors relock and the alarm is rearmed. This is very sensible as the button could be pressed accidentaly.

However if you press the button to open the rear door, it switches of the alarm unlocks the car and opens the door, and stays open untill you close it (as I noticed when my son was playing with my keys in the kitchen, and the car was out in the rain with the rear door open for an hour or so!)

Is this a fault? can it be programmed to only open the rear doors if the unlock button is pressed first? or do I just have to be very careful what I do with my keys after locking the car?
