Hi everyone, this is my first post! I have read some similar posts but unfortunately my problem seems worse...

The rear seat on the passenger side of my 2004 Ulysse is jammed halfway out - I've been trying to remove it and somehow released the front of the seat but not the back, so the front of seat is out of the runners but the back is completely jammed.

I've tried pulling the lever underneath at the back but it won't budge. I've never removed it before, as I've only recently bought the car, and think the mechanism might be broken, but I just wondered if you had any magic tips!

To be honest I don't even mind if I break the seat, as I will probably not use the back two seats, I'm more interested in having a big boot!

Any help would be appreciated!!

To remove seats first put them back in the lock seated position.

From behind push the small lever near the seatbelt clips. As the seat is folding, lift the back and it will tilt forward. Once it is in the 90 degree position pull the bar that slides the chair back and forth and it should lift away.

Thanks for the reply. My problem is that I can't put the seat back to the lock seated position, it's jammed with the front wheels out of the runner. I'm at a loss!

Oh yes, been there, they will come out though, you just have to try the seat in varying degrees of folding.

At worst you can use a flat screwdriver to prise open the clamps at the rear ( just like when the release cable is broken)

I think the screwdriver might have to be the solution, as i think the release cable is broken. Do you literally have to waggle the screwdriver in the clamps in the runner on the floor or is there a technique to it?

Just prise the clamps open on the outer side, take another chair out to help you see how they operate.
