Hi Everybody
i have a 2004 Ulysse which I have installed the electric sliding doors into from a donor car. i have 2 disabled children who struggle with closing the doors properly so electric was the way to go.
I have taken everything from the donor, installed it into my Ulysse, and have now got the system to a point where all the buttons inside the car trigger the 3 beep error.
Installed equipment-
Motors
Rear loom
Ecu
Hinges
Maxi fuses next to battery
Rear buttons
Roof mounted buttons
Motor and sensor and wiring inside each sliding door, including contact plates

I have converted the key fob from 2 button to 4, when the door button is pressed the car unlocks but nothing else.

The system has power enough to error, but that's it.

I know you need to initiate the system after battery disconnect, but can't do that until I can get the motors going.

Has anyone done this conversion? Do I need to change the steering wheel node aswell?
Any help would be appreciated, as going mad :bang:

Hi Frantic Fran, thanks for the reply.
Think we've spoken in the past on ebay about purchasing a nav screen for my car?
No, i haven't laptopped into the car. Would it possibly/hopefully be as simple as logging in and activating the system? If so, is Lexia on license or is it free software?
I have bosch kts570 diagnostics, but the door system hasn't come up on that. Also have multiecu scan licensed using elm327 but the car hasn't registed on that full stop.:(

I'm sure I've noticed in Lexia electric doors as being present or not. If you have retro fitted them then I'm sure you will need to change it to "present" and then stage 2 program the bsi, like you do when changing the RT3 settings etc. Can't speak for any other OB2 interfaces sorry!

Whereabouts are you in the country? If not too far I can have a look for you.

Also I've noticed that when you disconnect the battery the electric doors on the key fob are the last thing to return to normal operating. quite often I kick them into life by simply holding one of the door buttons on the fob for 10 seconds or so after turning off the ignition.

You cannot simply retro fit equipment to a vehicle with a modern CANBUS enabled system like your Ulysse has fitted. As a minimum you'll need to complete a proxi alignment and hope the car detects the doors, failing this you're only way around this would be to reshell the entire electrical system, including the majority of its ECU's into your car - far beyond being feasible unfortunately tbh.

Most of the accessories are VAN not CAN communication on the Ulysse and you can retro fit the extras, Clicky has proved you can by changing his RT3 N1 system to the RT3 N3, he had to use Lexia to make the changes in order to get it working as well as splicing a few wires.

At worst if the BSI can't be re-programmed, the donor one (with the possibility of the engine ecu & com2000) could also be fitted. But I still think it needs enabling to "present", for example when I hook up a Ulysse and navigate the menus in Lexia you will see all the optional extras but are disabled e.g. sunroof, headlight washers etc.

They do the same job just a different language, my point is the BSI (the "brain" of the car) is programmed to look for ecu's which run accessories.

Obviously if the car is not fitted with the accessories the BSI doesn't want to waste time or be throwing up errors reporting they are not there so the BSI is instructed that they are not there. With Lexia you can program the BSI to communicate with the retro fitted ecu's.

An example of this is when owners activate or deactivate the tyre pressure sensors, also I have turned on the video input for many owners in this way.

I have sold many BSIs on eBay with none ever being returned, usually along with the engine ecu and keys

Thankyou for the continued responses.
I have been offered a lexia 3 interface package with diagbox v7.33 for £75. Don't know if that's good or bad?
With regards to the donor car, I purchased it as a complete vehicle with a blown engine. I still have it here, stripping bits as I go. Being a Vauxhall Tech by trade, I'm happy to be messing around with deep part stripping and retro refitting, If I need more bits from the donor then so be it, I refuse to be beaten by this project
Frantic Fran, I'm in Woking, surrey, 20mins from Heathrow. Where abouts are you? Coming to see you may kill 2 birds with one stone as, if you still have the conversion available, I would still like to upgrade my ulysse to RT3 N3 as we previously discussed on fleebay. Don't mind if you're miles away, quite happily drive round the planet if the results benefit my kids.
Most easterly pandas, thanks for your input. As the donor is still here complete, if I have to reshell the entire loom, I will lol:eek:

£75 is about right, I got a second hand one for about £49 after sending back one that cost £120 new. The Diagbox version is not that important as every version I have used has worked on the Eurovan2, the important thing is being able to run Lexia, you can use PP too but I find this harder to navigate so dread people coming around with their Pugs!

you are a long way away, I'm up in N.E. Lincolnshire in Cleethorpes!

Sometimes I find that when the 3 beeps occur, simply opening and shutting them manually gets them working again. Have you tried greasing up the roller bearings and cleaning the tracks? Did they work okay in the donor too? Older motors could be on their way out!

I have ordered the Lexia package and it will be here saturday. Will have a play with it over the weekend and let you know how it goes.
All the hinges were oil bathed when i took them off. Greased all the runners and cables. The door system was working perfectly in the donor the day I removed it all.
When the door unlock button is pressed on the keyfob, the car unlocks but there is no input from the node to the door release. the lock actuators do nothing. hoping it is a case of just arming the system.
If i get nowhere, i'll be making the trip up to see you.
With regard to the rt3n3 conversion, do you still have one available?

Got loads of them, you'll need to get Clicky to help you with the wiring though, the rest is simple enough.

ok.
As we discussed on fleebay, n3 with screen and plastics, 2013 maps etc etc, and part exing my n1. Let me know what's best for you and £?. thanks

Parcel arrived today. After much faffing about, finally got diagbox v7.02 to install. Absolute nightmare.
Connecting to the car, it reads the vin as a citroen c8, then opens lexia, and i'm prompted for 'missing information'??? bmo?
and it's moaning at me for not having an internet connection whilst sat in the car. AMONGST OTHER ERRORS!
 Any suggestions?

It's not that hard to install if you have good instructions, also you should turn off wifi when starting diagbox up. Also I think you have to edit a line in the config file to FALSE if I remember correctly.

If it is picking up the VIN that's good. You have to put a RPO/DAM number in that best matches your car, 10247 is a number that seems to work well for Ulysse owners.

Destructions were appalling.
I've entered the rpo number which returns me back to the 'select application' screen. selecting lexia does nothing, screen stays stuck.
would changing the config to false get me past this new hurdle? where is the config file? lol
Auto detects the vin no problem

Probably, it needs to be a 32bit operating system, I used an old tower and TV that I keep in the garage.

After much messing about, have successfully installed in 32bit.
Have found the sliding doors in peugeot planet as an 807, can't find them in lexia as a c8?
Have marked the ecu as present which ping'd a fault code for 'rh sliding door, permanent, initiation fault'. can't clear it.
Any ideas?
