Technical Electric sliding door installation nightmare!!

Hi
Half the loom was already there, have added the rst from the donor.
All the buttons, actuators etc are visible on the diagnostics and functioning correctly. the system is armed. Just the dam initialisation process is holding me up now.

LOL possible candidate-
have just found a small black box in the box of stuff i took off the donor. 657046 1400043980 motorized sliding door cut off unit.
looks like this got missed because the wiring block didn't present itself.
Will investigate and report back

Interesting, I don't think I've ever seen this ecu when I've broken the cars down. Where is it located?

Did you manage to get your Lexia working in the end?

Most of the accessories are VAN not CAN communication on the Ulysse and you can retro fit the extras, Clicky has proved you can by changing his RT3 N1 system to the RT3 N3, he had to use Lexia to make the changes in order to get it working as well as splicing a few wires.

At worst if the BSI can't be re-programmed, the donor one (with the possibility of the engine ecu & com2000) could also be fitted. But I still think it needs enabling to "present", for example when I hook up a Ulysse and navigate the menus in Lexia you will see all the optional extras but are disabled e.g. sunroof, headlight washers etc.

I agree there franc!
Sounds to me like 'enebling' the electric doors option would be the first place to look.
I seem to remember that option in Lexia.

Hi FF and clicky
Yes finally got lexia working. I've enabled the door system through pp2000, with the initialisation error code as a result.
The cut off ecu is located in front of the o/s door motor behind the quarter panel trim. size of a pack of fags, black, 10 wires in.

2 wires go straight to main block on the door ecu, 2 go to each of the centre pillar door buttons, the rest bugger off in the main loom. stripped all the wiring from the donor today, will have a go with grafting it in tomorrow. hopefully that will cure the problem.
Clicky, yes, am going with the rt3 conversion, purchasing what i need from FF. He suggested i give you a shout for the wiring diagram?

Just looked on a stripped Ulysse and can't see this module, are you sure you are not looking at the parking sensor ecu? Can you post a photo?

Parking sensor ecu is right down the back by the light cluster. had to move relocate it because it was using the door cable mounts as fittings. also, moved the parking buzzer up the front next to drivers seat so you don't have to turn the stereo down when parking. keep the mrs happy lol.
nicked a library pic of the door cut off ecu, exactly the same as mine

nope, still can't see it. So you are saying that it is definitely next to the rear sliding door motor on the driver side?? I'll post a pic of mine tomorrow and maybe you can circle where it was on the donor vehicle.
Just wondering if it is from a CAN/CAN model - what year is the donor vehicle? If it is 2007 then the ecus wont be compatible with 2006- models.

yes, driver's side. infront of the motor, behind the front cable assembly. or- between the speaker and the front cable exit. right behind the upright plastic hose for the rear fan.
donor is a 54 plate eleganza

The module appears on fiat elearn workshop post my2005. also, it's on the peugeot workshop parts ordering system.

Must me down to a certain age, thought I've never seen these modules before, only ever broke 52-53 models with electric doors and none have had them, wonder why they were added?

peugeot description is 'anti crush cut off ecu'. However, on the donor i have, wires go straight from this module into the sliding door node. and also straight to the centre pillar contact plates. when i changed these from my original plates, it added an extra 2 contacts at the top, obviously to accommodate the door release and sensor. these are the two wires.
haven't had a chance to look at mine yet today, but i will either track the two wires from the node to see where they go, or the wires from the pillars. hopefully they'll lead me to a hidden unused connector already in the loom, as in the donor.
(n) but i doubt it lol

Been doing some research on this 'Cut off switch' and it definitely ain't used on the fiat range from 02 -07 According to my Electronic WSM.
So I would querie as to whether you can even get it to work with your fiat!
I think your donor car was the type when that you set off driving and exceed (usually) 15mph all the doors Auto lock. The module would appear to be the device that in the event of an accident 'triggers' the release of the door locks. this 'command' would be integrated into the BSI and door ECU and therefore would not work with your earlier model.
I would however have thought that if you got a Different Door ECU (Speak nicely with FF) and wired to the earlier standard of wiring, then the doors would work.

I will attach wiring diags later this eve.

I'm with Clicky on that one, I reckon if the donor car was a Pug then the ECU you are using isn't going to work on the Ulysse. So don't start stripping the loom yet. I have loads of these in so I can compare the part numbers on them all with the one you are trying to fit.

The autolock at a certain speed is on all the Ulysse cars I have driven (activated by pushing the centre button on the roof console). So unless this ecu is fitted elsewhere (only place it could be is near the bsi near the steering column but I still don't think I've seen it) I just don't think it is part of the Ulysse loom.

You are right about the contact plate though, the electric sliding doors do have more 2 more contacts even on the Ulysse. I will have a look tomorrow and see if they are actually wired up.

The anti crush works on all the ones I've stripped too, put your leg in and the door reverses. Maybe it is built in to the door ECU on earlier models (yours being in that category) and for some reason it was moved to a separate module after a certain VIN. It certainly doesn't make any sense to have to modify the wiring in such a manner if the customer specify an extra option from the dealer.

Any updates yellowfish?

I striped out a dashboard today to look for the ecu around the BSI and it definitely isn't hiding around there.
