Just wondering if I have a 6 seater does it have the right fittings under the carpet to let me put the third seat in the middle row? (cheep 6 seater available but really need 7 seats).

Thanks for your help

No! But I think the bench seat in the dynamic spec will fit in the third row giving you 2 2 3 configuration but they never made a bench seat in leather.

Having second thoughts now, just in the process of removing the carpet from the C8 and there are another set of bolt holes nearer the doors in the floor, this means that the existing runners need to be removed and located to the outer bolt holes. 7 seater models have the seats nearer to the sliding doors and so the armrests will need to be removed also.

However, removing the seat runners is not easy as they are torx bolts and because they are exposed underneath means that they rust making them hard to extract.

As well as purchasing a middle seat (with the runners) you will also need the carpet from a 7 seater too!

Also the 2 plastic floor trims near the doors are different so you need those as well!

Thanks Fran, it sounds like more trouble than its worth, unless the car is a complete steal!

Actually did this conversion a few weeks ago.

Involves from donor 7 seater:-

Remove plastic floor trims from tailgate & side door.
Remove rear panel cards (not necessary but makes the job easier)
Remove seats
Remove runners. The runners are star drive bolts and because the bottoms are exposed under the chassis some of them get rusty making them tricky to remove. A wire brush and a good spraying of WD40 helps on those you can see. The third row runners don't need removing but it makes the carpet removal easier. Also mark each runner as they differ with bolt patterns & lugs.
Remove carpet
Remove plastic floor ducting to rear vent (if fitted)

Repeat for 6 seater.

Using the 7 seater parts.
Fit plastic floor ducting
Using a paint scraper, remove the gaffer tape covering the new outer bolt holes and the middle ones that the 7 seater variant uses. Gaffer tape up the old holes to stop water spraying up onto the carpet.
Fit carpet
Fit seat runners
Fit plastic floor trims
Fit rear cards if removed
Fit seats

FINISHED (should take half a day!)

Also discovered that the captain leather chairs do fit into the 7 seater variant without hitting the side doors but of course you cannot fit the middle seat with the ISO seatbelt without removing the 2 inner armrests.
