Technical Reverse light switch

hi all, i have a 2004 1.9d ulysse and think that the reverse switch has gone as the reverse lights stay on while driving, as i am no mechanic i would like some help to find out where this switch is please

On cars fitted with the ML5 gearbox, the reverse switch is on the top of the gearbox, next to the gearbox breather.

thanks for the response but where is the gearbox breather (any pictures)
do i get to it from the bonnet or from under the car

Item 11 in the diagram below is the reverse switch on the ML5 gearbox.
