Hi, I have a 2003 Ulysse (New Model). Since I bought the car 6 months ago I have had problems with the front right indicator. At first it worked for a few weeks then stopped working. When it stops working the right indicator 'click' (relay?) operates at twice the speed. The rear bulb flashes quickly, the side repeater near the mirror flashes quickly but the front bulb does not flash.
Initially I changed the bulbs but I soon realised that this was not the problem. Having removed the indicator bulb holder (with considerable dexterity!) I started to bend the contacts on the outside of the bulb holder gently outwards using a small screwdriver. At first this would solve the problem for a few weeks or even a month but it has now got to the point where it only lasts a few minutes or hours.
I have checked ebay but can only find bulb holders for 807's and C8's. These appear to be different - although similar.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Do I just need to replace the bulb holder and if so, has anyone managed to get the part from a Fiat dealer? Several posters on other forums say that Fiat dealers have told them that they can only replace the whole headlight unit at a cost of ££££'s.
Thanks!

Hi

Had same problem, what`s happing is where the bulb holder sits inside the headlight the contacts arc out and create a hole in the headlight fitting, you need to remove the bumper about eight screws and remove inner wheel arch there is one 10mm bolt to remove inside the inner wheel arch.
Then pull the complete bumper off, takes about 10mins, then there are three bolts holding the headlight in all easily accessible, once headlight is out get a solder iron and solder up the contact on the headlight, you should see where it has arc out and created a hole.
One bit of advise is to do both headlight at the same time.
best of luck.

Thank you very much. We took the bumper off today and checked the headlight. We found a hole in the contact just as you described and filled it with solder. The indicator finally works correctly! :D
Many Thanks
Robin
