Hi I have a ulysse 2004 2.2 jtd diesel and have a problem with power loss and a anti pollution error message showing , the car is very sluggish when cold but runs ok when warmed up but if i drive on motorway after about ten mins the esp warning error anti pollution comes on and orange warning light on display in steering wheel and power drops right down once I turn off car and clear the codes with my can 2 machine it restarts fine with full power back but will go off again after 10 mins driving on motorway around town is fine!

just had a major service so all engine has been flushed and new oil etc this problem was there before and still is now maf sensor has been changed and car has done about 86000 miles I also have a little spanner showing up in the steering wheel dash next to mileage????

Hi Paul, my sincere condolences to you!! I`ve also suffered similar problems to you, think its finally cured, after 6 months and almost £3000. Firstly the spanner tells you the mileage to the next service when you first start the car, if it stays on permanently it needs reset, should have been done when it was serviced. Do a search in the forum, also on the eurovan 2 forum for swirl valve actuator, a £20 piece of plastic which can break and cause the car to pull poorly, also has your fuel additive been replaced lately, and perhaps the particulate filter, (FAP) needs regenerated , cleaned out or replaced. With mine, it was a process of elimination, costly and frustrating. I ended up having to have the injectors drilled out and replaced, hopefully you don`t have to go down that road. keep up posted, and best of luck, Brian.
