Hi all,

Is there a way to get the remote control key fob for a 53 2.2 jtd Ulysse Eleganza apart to check any connections inside or hopefully just replace the battery. What type / size is the battery.

The key fob looks like it might come apart but I don't want to mess with these electonic things without having some idea first

We've had the car since new and got the two fobs. One has just stopped responding but given the age that's no surprise if it turns out to be the battery.

I wasn't able to find anything particularly about battery changes on any other threads on the forum so any advice would be very welcome.
Many thanks
Paul

At the end where the key rings goes through you will see a small part of the casing where the gap is slightly wider, about 8mm long, this is just below where the end of the key blade folds in. After you take off the ring you can use a small flat balde screewdriver to open the casing here. Clean all the contacts with Isopropel alcohol or similar at the same time, keeps everything working well. Hope this helps(y)

Thanks. I'll give it a go and post up the battery size.

Instructions spot on and battery very simple to change & cleaned the contacts.
The battery is a CR 1620 but alas still can't seem to get the key to work.
Could it be there is a re-programme needed at all ?

Very frustrating !!

when i had my vectra, all i did to reprogramme the fob was to put the key in the ignition, turn it live then lock and unlock. that should be it.
