Upgraded to 5.41 the other night and all seemed well.
Noticed that the voice activated dailup had lost all the recorded tags.
So trying to make a voice activated call gives a director empty message.
Strangely if you record a voice tag it will work until you next switch off and then it's gone again.
It's like it's not remembering the voice tag.
Any thoughts?

May try re-burning the upgrade and reapplying to see if it comes right.
Is it possible to down grade to 5.31 if I need to?

I'd be very careful about trying to downgrade, I have heard some horror storied about the RT3 locking up and having to be replaced because the software didn't upgrade.

As it is going to be at the dealers, why not ask them to fix it. I'm sure they won't know you did the upgrade yourself.

Good news about your tyres, normally they don't pay for them.

Ok won't attempt downgrade. Suspected it may be problematic that's why I asked first.
Noticed last night that the display has developed a white line across it about 2/3rds of the way down so looks like it will need some work anyway.

Interesting. I tried re-installing 5.41 today to see if that would sort the problem.
But it just spits the CD back out so I guess it knows it's already got 5.41 installed so doesn't proceed. Which probably means you can't downgrade.

Yep, and I also wouldn't advise a downgrade either...

IIRC, there were two versions of 5.41; the first one caused a problem for some of the European users, but English settings not really affected - but surely if someone had done version 1, they must have been able to upgrade with version 2??

I suspect there is a way to force an upgrade. Probably hold a button combination at startup.
Not going to experiment. I'll let the dealer have a look.

Will have to get the dealer to look at this as I'm sure I have a problem with the upgrade.
I noticed today, when using the sat nav, that the voice that started the directions was the old voice for the first sentance then switched to the new voice for the rest of the journey.
Not sure how but I suspect my upgrade was only a partial upgrade and it's this that has created the loss of voice dial tag memory.
I just hope there is a way they can re-install it without buggering up anything like they normally do everytime they connect their analyser to it.

I think the phrase "at the end of the road" is still in the old voice, but the rest is the new "lady" voice.

Oh well that's good.
It is a bit odd having more than one voice bit like the cars gone skitzo
