Hi, Can anyone help?

I have a S Reg 2.0 petrol Fiat Ulysse, the other day had a flat battery, breakdown service called and jump started the car, everything OK, the next day after my son left the DVD player on another flat battery, again breakdown service called to jump start, engine turns over but no spark at the plugs, not sure if this is related but the remote central locking doesn’t work, works OK if u use in the drivers door lock. Any one any ideas.

Hi,going by what you have said it sounds as thou your battery is dead and cant recharge, you should try and take it into a garage or somewhere to get them to test the state of your battery and also they should as well at the same time check the alternator is working correctly as well (although if it jump starts ok, the alternator should b ok)

Unfortunately the battery is fine and charged, here is a list of things on the car
1- No spark at the plugs
2- Fuel pump appears to be working
3- No remote central locking but works fine with key
4- Climate control does not light up with the ignition on
5- The dash mounted immobiliser light does not illuminate when the key out of the ignition and doors locked.

What type of immobiliser have you got? Is it the drop down keypad?

Another area to check is the wiring between the fuse box and the relay to the ecu. Undo the connector at the fusebox end and you will find corrosion on the lower half of the connector. Clean this up and see if it helps.

how did you get on , did you disconect the battery ,when i did i had too
lock the doors with remote fob and unlock again before it will start
