Hi everyone.

Has anybody had the problem of windows opening randomly when the car is parked and locked? Got up the other morning to find one of the rear windows open - excellent security feature eh?? Happened twice more this week.

I also wonder why the ultrasonics don't pick it up and sound the alarm?

Presumably a dealer would be able to sort this? There again maybe no.....

Any advice would be most appreciated.

perhaps the gremlins were hot?

Do you have window locks? - Where you press a button and the kids in the back can't play with the leccy windows. Try putting them on and see if that stops it from happening... Its not the solution, but it'll keep the car more secure whilst you fix the issue.

S'been reported before (e.g. check "New Member, Old Car" Ulysse post). My windows sometimes get into a mode where they insist on going only 1/2 way up, then down again when I try to put them up, (had them "re-learned" at the dealer but didn't help much), so far, they've not gone down of their own volition.

Phone your Fiat dealer and get them to do a S.I.G.I inquiry, and find out if there is any campaigns outstanding 'cos there is one where the software has to be updated to cure problems like boot not opening and windows opening on their own etc- give them your chassis number and see what happens.

Hi,

I heard that too, there is a new software version for some types of Ulysse to stop the window problem.

I had that problem for a while. I use to come back to the car and find the OS passenger window open (and wet seats if it'd been raining). Also I had a problem that when you locked the car, and the windows are s'posed to close, the driver one would open!.- it also got to the stage where I couldnt close it with the button.

Anyhow the dealer replaced a couple of window controllers, reset everything and its been ok since. touch wood

I had the exact same problem and got the dealer to have look at this, he stated it was something to do with the contacts on the back doors, not making contact (some adjustment of the contact springs or something), since having this seen to I have not had the problem again
