After being a member of this forum for ages as a fraud I now have a 2.2 JTD Prestigio.
After driving it 5/600 miles ish home it seems great. Love playing with the connect system and some of the other bits. Switched on the auto head lights then discovered you can't switch them off again manually if you want to. It arrived with Xenons yet I didn't order them, may be a cock up or Fiat now fit as standard. 16" wheels arrived but I can't find and reference to pressure monitors on the dash or in the book.
The dealer left a big box in the boot which turns out to the roof bars quoting some crap that they make the car too tall for some car parks and the ferry.....load of cods whollop, I've had an Espace for years with fitted roof bars and every Peugeot I have seen has them fitted I fit in all car parks I wanted to. I think they were too lasy to dig some steps out and fit them.
The Nav is s/w rev 5.4...on a brand new build. Asked the dealer about 5.41 and the workshop gave a blank look. Rang my mate at 90mph he said the phone quality was good but very loud so ended up whispering even at that speed. I'm going to hunt round now to see what else 5.41 offers, the connect never gave any problems but seems very slow when you try to "move map"..........who designed the radio cover so you need a 6 years olds finger to press the down arrow to scroll the map? When I get round to reading the book I may be able to use a column stalk to do it.
The seating is very comfortable and plush....lets see how long light coloured leather stays nice with my monsters.
Just waiting for the connect contract to come back..........needed to sit behind the dealer for some of that!
I think the dealer came away thinking what a smart arse, clear off but when I Knew more about the car and what to look for than he did I have to thank this forum and a bit from the other lot!
The engine is great 6th gear cruise on, arm rest down, point and go.
Got to fit a tow bar next.
Regards
Paul
