ive noticed on my rt3 mono display that the backlight is not working,
is there a bulb in there that can be changed or is it a sealed unit ,
any help on this would be appreciated .

if its the bulb type you are lucky.............if its sealed type get your cheque book out & write out a cheque for £320!

thanks 4 that info, light started working again for 2 days then stopped again,
took cover off no sign of a bulb so guess i will leave it be ,
bit of a dissapointment car as only done 16,000 miles can see display during daytime just a pain not seeing it at night ha ha.

Hello, I have the same concern with my monochrome screen on my Ulysse (july 04). I opened the screen and there is 18 LED. i don't know how to repair it!!!
In france it is 535 eur!

Ours failed under warranty many years ago and when I looked at it a transistor o the rear had burnt out. If a diagram of the electronics can be sources it's possible it maybe repairable.

Got exactly the same problem....it's really annoying.

Good news on my one, my brother re-soldered part of the unit - there was some damage on a track near a transistor. This has fixed it and it's working well (other than over heating and dimming but I have drilled a few holes in the duct underneath as per a tip I read).
