Hi All,
A couple of days ago the wife took the car back to Fiat as she could not get the radio to turn off, even with the key out of the ignition. Not wishing to flatten the battery she panicked and took it into Fiat who promptly told her they didn't know what the problem was and the quick fix was to disconnect it, (which they did, as well of quoting her £1500 plus vat for a new head unit).
I've reconnected the unit and it now turns on and off as it should. The problem is that there is no display on the colour screen apart from the Fiat logo and the words loading, ready etc appearing in the bottom right. No other buttons on the unit or centre console seems to do anything.
The radio/cd changer will work for a few minutes and then reset as the screen goes blank.
Would I be right in assuming that the head unit is searching for a set up disc?? If so, I was not supplied with it when I bought the car.
Its the Connect Nav+ by the way.
Or could it be something more serious?
Any ideas would be greatly appriciated.
Cheers
Pete
