Hello, I ve just bought a 2000 Fiat Ulysse
I think the correct name is 1.9 jtd (or 2.0 jtd) and I believed that the motor was made by peugeot and someone told me that The Ulysse has a Fiat made motor

someone knows the answer ?
Some Ulysse use Fiat motors ?

thank you

Simon

Hello Simon, welcome to the forum.

It is indeed a Peugeot unit. I presume by 2000 you mean engine capacity or have I mistaken it for year. The new Ulysse does not come with a 1.9JTD.

Thank you Stuart for answering me so quickly.
2000 is the year, this is an "old" Ulysse.
this car was released in december 2000.. I thought I ve seen 2.0 jtd written on it, but now on the contract I signed it is written 1.9 jtd so I am a bit lost. when I tried the car, It didn't seem to have a turbo.
I don't have the car yet.. I'll get it Friday.. so I can just phone to the salesman who doesn't know much thing...

what I know is this is a 7 CV, and its engine blew so they replaced it. they told me it was a mecanician mistake.. bizarre isn't it..
I thought that a brand new engine in a 50000km car was a good opportunity
for 16000 euros.
now I m a bit scared about the engine....

Hmmm, when you tried the car it didn't seem to have a turbo! So what have they sold you?

What is a 7 CV? I am confused as well. 16000 Euros does seem a bit steep - that equates to under £11,000, maybe.

Okay It is a 2l JTD, and it is a PSA engine without doubt.
I don't think 16000 euro is expensive for a 50000 Km car with a brand new engine... (0km)
what I found untill now are 100.000 km car @15000 euros.

this kind of car is really hard to get...

It must be "a bit" expensive since I'm buying it from Fiat, but it includes a one year full warranty.

I'm really glad to have found it (it's very beautifull).

Fair enough, I have no idea about the French market for cars, I am just going on the UK second hand market, which is dire......

What spec comes with it?

another question :

is the gearbox from fiat or from peugeot ?
what is from fiat in this car ?
