Posts: 1,660 Thanks: 59 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Radio reception Hi, I am led to believe that the radio aerial on my 03 Eleganza is built into the rear passenger window, is this the case and if so has anybody installed a "proper" aerial to improve the terrible reception? Thanks in advance, Tony

Posts: 39 Thanks: 1 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: Radio reception Hi Tony Don't know if Elaganza is the same technology, but I used to have a Rover 800 which used the rear window defrosting element as the radio aerial and I had no problems. Is your heated rear window working? Regardless,try disconnecting the 2? connections and spray with contact cleaner. If still no joy, pull out the radio and check aerial connection is positively attached and try contact cleaner again. Hope this helps. Cheers Sean

If somebody confirms my suspicions that this is the radio aerial I am going to fit a PROPER roof aerial and see how it works, reception on the unit is very poor and I think the speaker system is pretty rubbish also, not up to the standard of my 1998 Ulysse TDEL. I will report what happens and if there is any improvement. Off now to get new brake shoes and I suspect new brake cylinders for the '98, fluid everywhere on passenger side, only major problem since clutch 20K ago, not bad at 160K. Tony
