Anyone who has read the various threads I have left along the way, know that my wifes :worship: Ulysse has had a few 'teething' problems, the latest meaning that I had no alternative but to leave it with a local garage.

After spending a lot of time doing ecu checks, mechanical checks etc, it finally turned out to be a fault with a earth wire somehow connected to the ecu.

NOW WE COME TO THE BIT WERE IF ANYONE STILL HAS A BIT OF STUPIDITY IN THEM AND WANTS TO GO TO MR CLUTCH  , LIKE WE DID  , THEN THIS SHOULD BE ANOTHER REASON WHY NOT TO.........

The faulty connection was not down to wear and tear , corrosion or anything like that. It was down to Mr Clutches so call experienced fitter (n) getting the bolts mixed up when refitting the gearbox. He forced in a bolt that was too long for the hole he screwed it in to and so it did not properly clamp the wire(s). All that bl**dy agro and expense. :bang:

The garage who fixed the problem, AND CHARGED LESS THAN £65 TO DO THE JOB, was M & M AUTOS, Iver Heath, Bucks. Can't thank them enough:slayer:

Thanks to all of you out there that offered help, hints and ideas along the way. Hopefully, no offence intended, I will not be calling on your services for a while, BUT WHO KNOWS (y)
