Hi Everybody
Great forum - as informative as eurovan 2- and that is saying something(y)
I have a 2003 mark 2 eleganza but can't tell the exact colour (dark blue) as the code on the door doesn't match the codes given in the manual:eek:
I thought that I might share some of my experiences with ulysse so far - three years of fairly straightforward motoring:)
1. Exhaust problem - the back box seems to have a weakness in that the joint into it breaks at a realtively low mileage (35,000) and as the system is one piece replacement is quite expensive, and fast fits struggle to find the parts
2. As noted in a few threads tyres do not seem to last and reinforced ones can be obtained from the likes of Continental, in their budget brand Barum, for about £50 fitted. I invested in a drive over wheel alignement gauge (£60) a few years ago because most tyre folk didn't seem to be able to use theirs and since then tyre wear has been fine - if I rotate occasionaly to even out the very slight outer wear.
3. I see that suspension wishbones have been hard to get in the past but I have just fitted 2 obtained from the local dealer for £62 each - these were advertised on the net (ebay) for £145, allegedly £220 at Fiat dealers and very hard to get - in fact local dealers are charging £110 + VAT, for the genuine Fiat article.
For parts I tend to use the local multi franchise dealer (Peugeot) who can get genuine Fiat or alternatives (like the wishbones above).
I'll shut up now before I bore you all rigid but keep up the great tips.
