Well lads, looking do the usual turbo upgrade for the 120bhp t jet punto with the turbo from a 150 bhp bravo. I have a couple of questions. Is it truly a straight swap? And what kind of power am I to expect with this upgrade with a remap of course. The car currently have a 2.5 inch straight through for the down pipe back and I’m having a down pipe made for it which il couple with a sports cat. Now ive checked a few sites and if you remap a 150 bravo your looking around 185 bhp, so I’m thinking with the other mods (ram air filter exhaust down pipe sports cat) I could be possibly looking at 190+. Does that sound right to you guys or am I over shooting. And if that is right do you think the clutch gear box etc would be up to the task or should I be looking at a stage one clutch and outer upgrades. My punto has the 5 speed btw. Thanks lads [emoji106]

In most cases the ihi turbos wont go much futher than 170-180. Sometimes you’ll see higher numbers due dyno inaccuracies. It is a straight swap, although the camshafts are different. Which is also an important factor on the end result. The 120hp is optimized for low end torque and the 150 more in the midrange.
If you google on “fiat bravo tjet pdf” you’ll find a 170 page long datasheet of the 2 engines with All the specs and differences

Thanks for the reply il check that out, think I might just go for a map with my current turbo I’ve a 2.5 inch cat back and il have a down pipe with a sports cat so should be good for over 150 I hope. Thanks again.
