1.4 abarth 595 engine, transmission and ecu in 1.2 body possible?

Hi, so I have a 1.2l Fiat with no engine and was wondering if it's possible to fit an abarth 595 engine, transmission and ecu in and if any modifications would have to be done to fit the engine and if it would be possible to either get an abarth ecu or re tune the 1.2l ecu to recognise the new engine, gearbox and turbo, thanks.

Sure it's possible to do it
However you'd need the engine gearbox ECU body computer locket key's with accompanying imobliser chips new wiring loom for the 1.4 engine new exhaust system to fit the 1.4 engine with cats and lamba sensor's to fit
Then probably new driveshafts possible hubs to mount the driveshafts to

This don't the 70-80s any more changing a engine isn't really practical other then for a stright swap

Regarding the ECU. You could always by an ECU Master Black or similar and use it to run the engine and keep the original 1.2 ecu to run the body control module. I have this setup on my Tjet Panda 100hp and it enables me to change all the ignition and fuel settings etc without having to go to a tuning shop every time.
